A Sunny Sunday Afternoon...
I usually enjoy reading poetry that rhymes, so tried my hand at rhyming a few lines that came to my mind and penned them down while waiting for a bus yesterday..
A Sunny Sunday Afternoon
A pair of love-birds on a Sunday afternoon,
Are waiting for the bus
"Darling, let's walk" says the lad,
"What's the real rush?"
The lass sounds troubled,
"Who'll cook the dinner?" she exclaims,
"There's wine and roast at the pub,
With fellow Knights and Dames"
"Then why are we waiting for a bus,
Where's our Rolls Royce?"
"Do calm down, love", the young lad says,
"Have we got a choice?"
The lass gives a joyful laugh,
And looks up in the sky
At the scattered clouds and flying gulls
While a lone airplane goes by
He takes her hand, they start to walk
A few miles lie ahead
Leisurely enjoying a sweet summer day
While the sun shines over their heads
Love, Kshipra
Good try.... Keep it going...
